The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Heard a pretty good Ted Talk the other day on rare earth mining in Africa from a guy who had been down there and had done a bit of research. Yes, they do have mining equipment, like the cat dozer shown, but it being Africa, parts or trained mechanics are not always available for some of the more complicated repairs. If the dozer don't work or there aren't enough of them, labor is cheap.

Depending on how hungry they are, they'll work for food...Enough to feed them and their families. The man giving the talk said he had seen thousands of workers, all ages, with tools in hand, mining like it was 2000 years ago.

When the batteries ultimately go back into the ground, they will be treated better than these workers that dug them out.

Probably more worried about the arbitrary hypocrisies behind the left's ideological messaging.

You caught us! You’re right! We don’t care a fig about child labor. In fact, that’s why we’re pro-life! More children = larger and cheaper labor pool! Preferably in West Virginia!

Ignore the hundreds of millions of dollars poured into right-leaning Christian charities that are building schools, medical clinics, and digging wells in African villages. We’re just doing that to keep our slaves well watered, don’t you know.

Concerned about lots of time and trouble spent on nonsense.
