I lost interest when I saw that I couldn't pick my own bug. The obvious choice would be stinkbug, for more than one reason.

Nah. Stinkbugs are easy to catch and release outside. Plus, they entertain the cats.

Well, you can't smash the damn things. The only other thing you can do is flush 'em. Seems unnecessary to end their meager lives.

You can, if you hit them fast enough and hard enough. Really! I do it successfully about 95% of the time.
You just have to take a moment to examine the corpse to make sure they're really dead. Cuz in addition to their other attributes, they are zombies.

Better living through chemicals, lad.

They only live six months. Give 'em a break. It's not like you can eat them.

It has a certain rustic charm about it.
Reminds me of a few years ago an ex-girlfriend from high school and a couple years after sent me this cryptic letter saying, "that which I most cherished, I set free'. Now, I remember a LOT of feelings from our difficult breakup. Being cherished is decidedly NOT one of them.

Being a guy means living a life of rejection.
In my particular case...All guys get turned down occasionally when asking a young lady for a date. Some of us ugly guys get turned down a lot more.
No big deal, life goes on. But I well remember a high school incident back in the dim mists of time, where a certain hawt blonde not only turned me down, but did it in a nasty way and then made sure her friends knew all about it.
I have taken a small, perverse pleasure in seeing her crash her way through multiple marriages, winding up broke on her ass, long after the beauty has faded.

My ex passed away about 4 years ago. Can I still take advantage of this?
Absolutely! Do it in ... ahem ... memory of her.
Yeah, that's a good way to say it. Not a perfect way, but good enough. LOL

Oh thank you. Just as I was getting up to go fix breakfast.
Oh. We're back to stinkbugs. I was thinking what Jolly had said about girlfriends.
