My iPad has been going downhill for a while and finally is toast.

I've not used it for music - ala George - but mostly to review email, this place, TikTok, FB, etc. No heavy lifting. Future, I might like to use for sheet music and possibly some music video work.

Any thoughts on which model and how much storage? I'd think storage isn't as big a deal with cloud storage.

    What do you folks use?

I have the regular iPad. Version 8. Current is the 10.

The differences are negligible, and for your needs the regular iPad is fine.

The iPad Air and Pro are more horsepower than you need, and a LOT more money.

As to storage, I have 128Gb - but that's probably also more than I need if I can stream stuff. Amazon, Netflix, etc let you download for those times when you're offline, so you might want to consider bigger storage.

Also, as you saw, my iPad is fine for sheet music of pieces that you know, to serve as a reminder, but not good for learning. The 10.2" screen is just too small. For a larger screen you need to get the 12.9" Pro, which, as @Klaus said, is ridiculous.

Consider buying Apple refurbished. They come with the full Apple warranty, and are usually 10% cheaper than new. I've purchased a lot of Apple-refurbed products and never had a problem. You can't tell it's not new.

      To compare iPads, look here:

That link lets you look at older models as well.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
