Christmas Dinner?

Well , this year I will pay for all the Labor Day picnics that I’ve missed working retail…
Karla has a very full schedule of animal vista on Christmas Day, and Lucas was scheduled to work at Benihanas from 12-10… That leaves Finley and I alone for most of the day. I don’t know that properly preparing a Chateau Briand, Beef Wellington, or a standing rib roast would be possible with just me and a toddler, and the effort would likely be wasted on a child that would prefer a grilled cheese sandwich….
So I’m facing a conundrum… Do something simple and basic for Finley and I that day (grilled cheese, spaghetti, etc…), or (gasp) go out to eat… I honestly don’t know what to do… I am so used to spending half the day in the kitchen…

Go to Benihanas and use your contacts to have them make a grilled cheese for the boy.

That’s under consideration, or better yet, Tuesday (All the Standing Rib Roasts will be 50% off on Monday), but that still leaves a challenge on Sunday…

Maybe you can arrange to coordinate with Luke’s break time and he can sit with you for 30m.

Does he like ham?
I bought a small bone-in ham for my in-laws last week...Caught it on sale, paid 97 cents/pound. Paid maybe six bucks. Super easy to cook.
Good for one meal + a few sandwiches+ one pot of white lima beans.
