Our tree cost has gone from $80 to $160 over three years…

My tree cost has been very close to 0 over three years. I have been using the same tree for over 15 years, one that I bought with deep discount from Walmart just after Christmas. It’s pre-lit, pre-decorated, and has a motorized mechanical bass that can raise or lower the tree (for storage) with the push of a button. A few years ago the lights that came with the tree shorted out, so I ripped out most of the old lights (which was quite a project by itself) and now I just put on LED lights every year as if it’s not pre-lit.
