Since much of the Hollywood chattering class, along with much of the Left, is on the defund police bandwagon, a modest proposal...
No paid armed security for private citizens. A citizen has the right to own a personal defense weapon, but I find no right to have armed security.
Might be interesting...

Those who want to defund police, will suddenly find themselves at least partially responsible for their own safety.

Those who are anti-Second Amendment, will suddenly appreciate the right to armed self defense.
Makes a difference when a person has skin in the game...

I forget which talking head (was it Maher?) called out AOC for wanting to defund the police. He suggested that we start by getting rid of her security.
