Is he really running for President?

I can’t recall in my lifetime such lack of campaigning.

    Is he okay?

Let me go downstairs. I'll get right back to you.

If you believe the polls what he’s doing is working.

          Yes.

Kind of amazing, really. He's been off the radar, in any meaningful sense, for a couple of months.

Letting "Trump be Trump" seems to be working for him for now.

              Yeah.

Policy positions aside, it appears that Biden is the weaker candidate. He seems to be befuddled by what's going on, and doesn't appear to be able to put thoughts together that aren't on the teleprompter. I still wait for a reporter to ask him, as they did Romney, "What about your gaffes?"

Unless something drastic happens with regards to Trump's health, Biden will have his clock cleaned in a face-to-face debate. I don't think he can handle it.

              Again, "policy positions aside."

Trump will appear to be the stronger leader. Whether he will be the better leader is a separate question - for politics is all about appearances, not policy or competence.

Biden's guys will figure out how to make Mr. Trump look like the evil, mean old man when he destroys Mr. Biden in the debate.

It won't be very difficult. Mr Trump is about as difficult to manipulate as a toy balloon.

Poor old senile Joe is really a nice guy. And he'll have a nice properly colored person to help him.

With Biden, the less you see and know about him, the more you like him. As for the debate, he may challenge Trump to a push-up contest.

Biden can still have a good night. I didn’t watch a lot of the debates but the last Dem debate before SC he was really strong.

But I agree it’s early. For all practical purposes the campaign hasn’t r3ally started.
