I’m certainly willing to listen to those who think lax immigration laws are in the public interest. My eyerolling begins at the politicization where the opposition is called xenophobic or racist.

      Education is extremely important.

Or...Maybe Schumer is just admitting we have a permanent underclass of ignorant, uneducated citizens with no drive to work or do better. We need them to reproduce, because they constitute a reliable voting bloc, but at a rate we can control through birth control, abortion and the dole.

By importing illegal immigrants, we can provide a ready pool of cheap labor that allows the upper class to live well without having to spend too much money.

A lot of truth to this statement.

If you think that inflation is bad now, get rid of all the illegals and watch food prices really go up. LOL

(Having said that, I do think we need to do better on stopping the illegal immigration. I have said before, most of them are economic migrants and are not doing it because they really "want" to. If given a choice and everything equal, the vast majority would rather stay in their native land.)

To be honest, food prices do need to go up. At least at the producer level.

We have probably the cheapest food on the planet, but it's not the best or the healthiest. I'm also concerned that big corporations like ADM use their economic clout to monopolize segments of the Ag market, making us less food secure.
