The Mid-Term Election Thread

It’s kind of like January of 2021. Much of his party was ready to turn the corner but his control of the base made it untenable and they quickly got back in line, else face primary challenges.
What’s different now is there is at least one plausible alternative, and they now have three datapoints showing how bad Trump is for their electoral prospects.
But still, it will take courage and a degree of collective action. Not sure how much of that is present.

I admit, I'm a bit disappointed. I don't understand Pennsylvania electing a brain-damaged Senator. And I thought Walker would have done better in Georgia.
C'est la vie...
Fetterman winning is really an indictment on Oz.

Best post-mortem line that I’ve read yet?
a possible red wave hit like a toddler's bathtub splash.

So you thought GA would elect a brain-damaged senator but not PA?
Walker is not rich like you, but his estimated wealth is somewhere around $12M. As such, he doesn't have to live in his parent's basement, unlike some other Senate candidates, who have never held a real job or owned a business.

It seems the market has never liked democrats very much.
Leftist messaging characterizes the market as "the rich people's piggy bank", and legislates against it accordingly. It is perfectly rational and predictable for the market to react this way to Democrat victories.

With 15,000 to count, they're separated by 62 votes.

Well, at least Texas is ok and Kennedy retained his seat for Louisiana. But Jolly, watch out for what’s next….
Tell him to bring his campaign money with him...If he has any left.

If the Nevada seat goes R AND if Lake does win in Arizona, does that change the narrative? Especially regarding Trump?
