Louisiana voted it down with 62% of the vote.

The guy who introduced it, later asked people to vote against it. Don't believe everything you read on Twitter.

Oregon was voted down, too. I read that it had to do with poor and vague wording in the amendments themselves.

I presume the point of this exercise is to prove that some non-zero percentage of voters would like to have slavery back. We'll see how far up the leftist chain of command that messaging successfully climbs. I can see Biden slipping this into a speech. I can see it becoming a data point in an Ezra Klein podcast discussion with another leftist intellectual.

              Education is extremely important.

I didn't read them all, but at least a couple of these had to do with using convicts as a labor force without pay.

Is it slavery for California to use prisoners as a labor force without pay?

                No

Because they can't afford the $15/hour minimum wage.

So, in this case, slavery is OK.
