This afternnon my wife and i went out for a little drive. I stuck to the back roads, so I could drive slow, take in the scenery, and just enjoy a quiet peaceful time with my wife. Down the roads we went, moving at maybe 30 mph at the best, my wife leaning against me, holding my hand. The only sounds were the tires popping the occasional gravel, birds, the sound of water moving down a couple of streams.. it was heaven.

I thought about the woman by my side, how beautiful she is, how sweet she is, how lucky I am to have her. Then I noticed her eyes were closed, and she was smiling.

I said "are you getting bored, baby? Do you want me to turn on some music for you? "
    "No," she said softly.
I said "when I was younger I used to wonder why old men drove so slow. I would jump in my car, turn up my stereo system and hit the road flying low. Now I know why old men drive slow... the sounds of nature are much nicer."
She opened her eyes, looked me and said.."the most beautiful sounds in the world to me are the sounds I hear you making when I'm with you."

I thought that was about the sweetest thing I had ever heard. I was deeply touched by it..

So I took the very next spot on the side of the road that was big enough to get the car off the road, parked the car, and turned toward my gorgeous bride. Our eyes locked on each other, i took her by the hand......

    And farted.

Then I pulled back out onto the road listening to the sweet, sweet sound of her laughter.....

All musicians know counterpoint is important.

“I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.” ~Winston S. Churchill
