Adnan Syed, convicted murderer from Serial podcast, released
-
This case brought into full focus the zeal of the masses when it comes to allegedly wrongful convictions. We dig and dig to find these sorts of cases where innocent people are behind bars, and when we're presented with full narratives of a case in point, it inevitably turns out that the person is almost definitely guilty, but reasonable people can disagree whether the "reasonable doubt" threshold was met. But lots of people really love fighting for those who might be considered innocent, if you squint hard enough. It's what they're left with, after scouring the prisoner rolls and their stories, and coming up empty for clearly innocent people.

It was a good podcast at least.

( I still remember something near the opening - "Try and remember what you did during a 30 minute period on a day six months ago...." Basically, please prove that you did not do this between 2:30 and 3:00 pm on this date six months before. What is your alibi? Hard to say. I cant even remember what I did a week ago. LOL)

Charges dropped.
I guess they were able to recover some DNA from the victim clothing using new technology and none of it was Adnan Syeds.
But wow, 22 years in a (probably maximum security) jail.
