Brings up another question...
Depending on the boat ramp, there are lots of timed when you'll have to back way down the ramp. Far enough, the back tires will be submerged by about a third.
Battery packs in EVs are at the bottom of the car. Wonder how they'll handle that moisture?

NASCAR isn’t really an international series. I could find lots of examples of local sports where foreigners don’t really take part
Do they have a version where everyone tows boats around an oval? That would be fun.

Well, if we're going to get like that, the US equivalent of Formula 1 is IndyCar rather than NASCAR, which is more the US equivalent of International Tractor Racing, and there have been plenty of European winners of Indy races - in fact there have been a number of champions from the other side of the pond.
Incidentally, there has only been 4 American winners of the Indy 500 this century, as opposed to 6 Brazilians and 5 Brits.
