Vance is the victim of a smear campaign

His opponent, Tim Ryan, seems to be implying that because Vance's foundation did not solve the opiate crisis in five years that it was a sham. If you read the article, I agree with the doctor he employed that big pharma is not primarily responsible for the mounting death toll.
Ryan is trying to run on that he is a 'Trump Democrat', which is nonsense.

Is Trump smearing J. D. Vance?
You be the judge. -

You be the judge.Ryan brought up Trump’s public humiliation of Vance then characterized Vance’s response to that public humiliation as lacking courage. Skip to the 4:00 mark for the remarks on Trump’s humiliation of Vance:

Link to videoLOL, nice collection of soundbites without airing the replies. Consensus seems to be that Vance won. At the very least the Partisans on both sides feel they won, and as independents seem to be more focused on inflation, crime, and education I don’t think Ryan accomplished anything.

Want to see bullshit reporting? Here it is. Ryan has been blasting ads since July. You cannot watch TV for half an hour without seeing one. Vance ads have been few and far between.

So, how is this race different from any other?
One side says that the other is the devil. Vote for me and we will all be skipping down the gold road among the flower petals while unicorns run by our side.
The other side says exactly the same thing.
And, as is often true, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I think we can all agree that political rhetoric never tells the whole story or provides sufficient food for thought for decisions about which candidate is preferable to the other. As one matures in their thinking, one might weigh both sides and come to a determination about which is better, in any given case.

I agree 100%.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't do that. I have this discussion with one of my relatives. He will vote for one particular party in Taiwan, regardless. They could put a farm animal dressed in human clothing on the ballot and he would vote for it, just because it was from "his party".
