Yeah offensive line. If long snapper was a drafted position it might be that.

    Education is extremely important.

I wouldn’t have guessed that. Especially because even though I was an offensive lineman in high school.

I still don't know if it's correct, but a center has to know the playbook as well as or even better than a QB. They have to know each and every player's assignment in each snap and they have to be able to read the defense at just as high of a level as the QB to call out assignments and shifts for their line. If you watch the line before the QB steps up to position, you will typically see the center pointing across the line at various defenders and calling out instructions to the linemen. The closest equivalent on the defense would be the Middle Linebacker, and defense is MUCH simpler than offensive play calls.

While the QB has to be up there in terms of IQ, the QB has the advantage of 2 seconds after every snap, so they have the luxury of being able to react a little. A center and the O-Line has no time to really react. They have to know where the defense is going to go before the D actually does...

After the center, my guess would probably be the tackles have to be a little smarter than the guards, and TE's are probably the smartest of the non-QB skill positions.

          Answer?

Offensive tackle. Average score = 26.

          Runner-up? Quarterback. Average score = 24.

BTW, Tom Brady's score was 33. Drew Brees was 28. Peyton Manning was 28.

Nope! Runner up is Center at 25. https://ncaahistoryguide.com/nfl-wonderlic-scores-position/

So I think my answer was pretty damn good. Just reversed tackle and center.

                Good? Yep.

Right? Nope. (Although when I glanced at the list I swore the QBs were #2.)

I just did a practice test on-line I dont know how accurate it is. It was 25 questions vs. 50 in the regular test and there were 6 minutes to complete.

If I double my score, I was much higher than a football player. LOL

Good. Now, if you have a red dog through the B gap, from a 4-man line in a Tampa 2 defense, who do you block first, the 6 '5" 265 pound guy on the end or the 6'2" 230 pound guy?

Depends on what the play is and how the blocking coverage is called. The blitz is coming from a linebacker, through the guard/tackle gap. I've seen it blocked with the tackle closing down and a back on a swing route on that side or with the tackle kicking out and the back picking up the blitzer.

All that's being called on the line as the lineman are getting set, although some QB's will help call protections...Peyton, Brees and Brady all called some of their protection schemes.

Pressure is coming from the weak side. TE is running a hitch.
