Ok, even our resident Royal Subject didn’t actively watch live, but they expect us to believe that 80-90% of the human beings in the world with the ability to watch the funeral did so?

Like @jon-nyc I don’t have a conceptual problem with people watching, but it just wasn’t on my radar of important things to do today… I can’t believe that a many families in China spent their dinner hours actively watching the Royal Funeral…

I watched some of it live. I was at work, so I had it on in the background.

The only thing larger than the number of people who watched the funeral is the number of people who say they didn't and don't care about the royals.

I've noticed how little people care about the royals a lot over the last week or so.

I’m not saying that I don’t have some bit of interest and I quite liked the Queen. However, she didn’t have enough of an effect on my life to distract me from my Monday work activities. I watched a brief video synopsis of the event this evening and that was about it. I doubt I was in the majority in the US, but I doubt my minority was that small of a group…

I had it on in the background this morning while I drank coffee, read the news and annoyed you guys.

All in all, it was on for a couple of hours.

How much did I actually pay attention to? About 15 minutes.

No, did not see any of it. Thailand was never a colony by anybody, so for most people here, there is not any real "connection" at all.

I hadn't watched any of it, but this afternoon I turned it on just as they arrived at Windsor. I had spent most of a year in that area so it caught my attention, I watched for about an hour until the casket disappeared below the floor in St. George's Chapel.

My wife, daughter and sister were in that chapel on the day it burned in 1992. I was driving on the M4, on my way to meet them for lunch. I saw the smoke from a couple miles away and assumed it was an IRA bomb. I was worried, but after a while I found them, they were fine.

Anyway, the Chapel was a familiar place so I watched for a while. It was a very nice service.
