        I love these arcane English traditions that only come to light when an event such as the death of a monarch occur. The TV is tuned to BBC News and many of these are being presented during the course of programming the past couple of days.

          Me, too. I knew about the bees, but only connected to ordinary people, like when somebody's grampa died. I always loved learning about telling the bees.

            It said the tradition went back to at least 1621, but no one knows quite how it came to be. Love it. But then I love bees, so...
