After the DC mayor renamed some part of a park 'Black Lives Matter Plaza', BLM-DC had this to say:
"But the move by the mayor was panned by the local chapter of the Black Lives Matter Global Network, which called it "a performative distraction from real policy changes" and a way "to appease white liberals while ignoring our demands"."
Sums it up pretty well for me. Empty gestures.

Same. Which is why a lot of the corporate messaging is getting scoffed pretty strongly. And on LinkedIn, too.
There were 100,000 people protesting in DC in the past day or so. We're way past smarmy emails.

Now every race is going to want a Lives Matter Plaza
And every sexual preference
And every gender

It's nice to see white liberals get scoffed at like that. I wonder what the demands are, though, that are being ignored.

I enjoyed seeing them get smited too. Haven't heard the demands yet. Seems amorphous, maybe to give the very same white libs the opportunity to go for reparations.

Years ago there was a book I saw on Amazon, written by a young black man. I don't remember much about it, (kind of thought about buying it, but didn't), but it was an open letter type thing addressed to white liberals. The message was, "Don't help! When you help, you're not helping!"

The idea that they might not really be helping is another in a very long list of ideas that cannot penetrate the high status progressive echo chamber.

I remember that too, also just seeing the cover.
Thomas Sowell gives the idea a great treatment.

The woke left couldn't infantilize black men much more than if they actually called them "boy".
