    Chicken hearts.

Saw a pound of chicken hearts at a local grocery store, apparently nicely cleaned and packaged, selling for $2.99 per pound. Bought it on impulse, and that became tonight’s dinner. I never really looked it up before, but I did tonight and I was pleasantly surprised that chicken hearts pack so much nutrients: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/chicken-heart-nutrition#nutrients

Didn’t do anything too fancy with it, simply sautéed with olive oil, salt, ground pepper, lemon juice, cooking wine, some Mediterranean spice mix, and that’s it. Someday I might try it with curry.

They're great catfish bait. They don't slip off the hook like livers.
