Today's Anecdote
-
I was in a meeting that ran 28 minutes over. Basically the meeting was to legitimize massive scope creep for a current project. Anyway, the project manager asked near the end if there were any questions about the work, or just generally since we covered a lot of topics.
I unmuted myself and said, "Kenneth, what's the frequency? What's the frequency, Kenneth. C'mon, what is the frequency?"
18 meeting attendees and not a single damn person got the reference. These folks were all at least as old as me or older, too.
I fully believe that, had I the temperament or personality to have actually applied myself to learning anything of consequence growing up, I could have probably at the least become a doctor.
But no, instead of the Krebs cycle, I know exactly who Betty the Blonde Bomber is and what she wants for breakfast.

Take your pick! No to both.

Old Dominion has an online PhD in English.
You could be Dr. Aqua Letifer, kinda like Dr. Jill.

You know as well as I do what you find in the Humanities departments of today. I wouldn't make it a week.

Look, the coolest English prof I had lived in a log cabin, had a PhD from Heidelberg, looked like a leprechaun and once jumped flat-footed onto his desk and acted out the Fool's Soliloquy from memory.
You could be another cool dude...

I suppose.
I likely don't meet the racial, equitable or political qualifications for such a program. But hey, maybe. I have thought about it.
