tl;dr.
My yx chromosomes and Mrs. George's xx chromosomes say that I am, indeed, a biologist. So does my undergraduate degree. But, that was 50 years ago, so YMMV.

I will palce this to the side to read later, but my quick glance did not seem to indicate a super big difference from traditional evolution theory.

I think the motivation is to promote epigenenetics so that group differences in outcomes can be blamed on historic oppression even generations after such oppression ceases.

Basically an updated Lysenkoism. Seems to be the choice of the ideologues across time and geography.
