Heard Joe Bastardi say today, that if we want to save the planet from CO2 emissions, all we have to do is A) plant 1T trees, B) go to all nuclear powerplants and C) use full capture technology, which we have for those plants.

Yet, nobody wants to do so.

    Why?

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Good question. I think that B) is something we should be concentrating on.

If you’re talking about joe average denizen of leftist pop culture, they have been successfully indoctrinated against nuclear energy because nuclear energy lacks virtue. I don’t think there exists a better explanation of their opinion than that. As for smoky room types at the levers of power, indeed why do they hate nuclear energy so much?

As for the hatred of trees, that one is easy - trees are assholes.

        Education is extremely important.

There's always been a link between nuclear power and nuclear weapons in many people's heads, however you might as well link the use of nitrates in farming with terrorist bombings, and it could be argued that a good use for nuclear weapons that aren't needed any more would be to provide fuel for nuclear power.

          I was only joking
