Just had to peel my SIL off the wall. She was informed today that the hospital has changed practice code and they expect her to push the fentanyl for some cardiac procedures. This is stuff where the patient is just sedated for a few minutes. I don't know who is figuring the dosage, they didn't explain that part to her.
She and I think the hospital is out of their rabid-arse mind. Patients do go into A-fib with even low doses of the drug used in these procedures.
Y'all, I don't like the direction medicine is heading...
