RIP "Sheriff" Jimmy Capps

Legendary guitarist Jimmy Capps, a country music hall of famer, a staple at the Grande Ole Opry for 60+ years, record producer, a man who played on probably half the hits to cone out of Nashville over the last 50 years, died at the age of 81. We weren't friends exactly, but you had to know Jimmy to understand that you couldn't work in Nashville and NOT be his friend. The music industry lost a real treasure.

Don't know anything about him, but I'll take Larry's word that there's a significant loss in Nashville's music industry.

Johnny Cash was known as "the man in black". Jimmy Capps was lovingly referred to as "The man in back". Because he played behind literally everybody.
