Among accused is a former elected official in Weet Texas. Three counts of felony theft and one count of organized crime. Supporters of said former elected official say he has been framed for the crime.

Cattle rustling is not uncommon. It ranges from one "falling into the freezer" to theft by the trailer loads.

Doesn't surprise me about the judge getting caught up in this, either. No matter where you go, there some mighty crooked folks in public office. Best we can do, is the keep the percentage as low as possible.

Another good argument for term limits, for just about every elected office. Longevity breeds corruption at worst, overreach at best.

I have no problem with term limits, just as I have no problem for making elected officials put all investment assets into blind trusts and zero tolerance for influence peddling.

I agree with the last two, but not sure about term limit. I kind of go back and forth.

There is something that comes with experience. Changing out a certain layer of a "company" or limiting how long someone can work for the "company" may not be the most efficient way.

But, being in the same position for a long time can make people lazy.

So, I just dont know. LOL
