“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

One of the most important parts of the military, in any country, is that you follow orders. If you cant follow orders, you should not be in the military.

You cannot have soldiers expecting that they do have to follow orders and not have a consequence.

(I think I am pretty much a rule follower, so I do not have any problem with the airman having to leave the army)

Airmen are just the tip of the iceberg. Between active duty and National Guard, the Army may lose 62,000 troops. That impacts readiness, for a vaccine that cannot prevent the disease it was manufactured for, being mandated for a group of people in the lowest risk groups.

Oh, that bit about just taking orders?

@Jolly Are you saying it is okay for soldiers to disobey orders if they dont agree with them?

"soldier, I need you to sneak there and set up an observation area"

"Hmm, nah, I dont think that is a good idea. I think I will just stay here with you"

Obviously, the picture you posted above is an extreme example, but I dont think that the vaccine requirement is anything close to that.

I agree that the COVID vaccine cannot 100% prevent the catching of the disease, but my understanding is that it certainly decreases the severity by a lot in most cases.

Think about a car safety belt. Can it prevent you 100% from dying in a car crash? Of course not, but it has been shown to certainly decrease the injuries and death from the car crash.

I don't see how you can reasonably equate not taking a vaccine with that.

A vaccine that isn't particularly effective on the age groups in question?

Yes, the COVID vaccines are just like the Holocaust. Come the fuck on, I'm not even going to take this bullshit seriously. Have a good night.

In the U.S. Army, unlike many others, a soldier dies not have to obey an order he considers unlawful. I think that also extends to unethical.

In the case of the vaccine, many have claimed religious or other exemptions. Almost all have been denied

The problem is that this is an order that has been shown to be ineffective. COVID vaccine status has very little effect upon mission readiness, since COVID can now infect and be transmitted by vaccinated individuals.

In a time when the Army has lowered it's standards to taking recruits without even a GED, because of a severe manpower shortage that is effecting mission readiness, this mandatory separation is unnecessary and head-banging stupid.

Yes, but in this case the order supports a democrat party platform policy.

                    Democrat orders must be obeyed.
