I puked the first time I ever got high, but that was it. Now of course the drug is much stronger.

Posted a thread the other day, about the current strength of weed and whether it played any part in the recent mass shooting.

The weed of the 70's is not the weed of today.

All the more reason to legalize & regulate.

          Why pay taxes on it?

Well, it's not like alcohol—some people use it as legitimate medication and there are about as many side effects as tylenol. But it's also not like albuterol—it can be used recreationally. Like everything else today, most of the debate seems to confuse or ignore this.

It's absolutely true that 70s weed is not like today's, and it's getting a little dangerous out there. So I'm fine with regulation if that brings in some quality control.

            Please love yourself.

From what I can tell, legalising hasn’t changed anything here after five years other than plenty of small shops selling it and seeing two or three plants growing in people’s backyards during the summer months. According to my cop friends the large scale grow ops have pretty much disappeared from the scene.

No tax on what you grow and cure on your own.

Yeah, I'm not too much in favor of just legalizing per se.

Legalisation hasn’t been a bad thing. The people who would have indulged in it continue to indulge. Those of us who did not continue not to indulge. As for teens, same applies now as it did to my generation in the 60s and early 70s. Some will regularly, some occasionally, still others once or twice or not at all. Some will go overboard, most will not.

Call me indifferent although I am glad to see the police able to reallocate their enforcement resources to more important criminal activities than possessing a couple of joints or growing a plant or two in your basement.

                      "Scromiting."

You know, I just can't read the title of this thread without thinking of the Jim Carrey interview that @jon-nyc posted the other day.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
