Bond and Lynch

That's Bond, James Bond, and Lynch, Dorothy Lynch.
This evening we had the James Bond version of Gin and Tonic. https://www.thejamesbonddossier.com/lifestyle/drink/the-james-bond-gin-tonic.htm
Please note this calls for a small lime, not the larger ones often seen in many grocery stores. Use half of a large lime per beverage. We used Fever Tree tonic water. This is a very nice version of G&T. Will do again.Mr. Bond preceded Mrs. Lynch, Dorothy Lynch. She is well known in the midwest for her homemade salad dressing, which continues to be made in Duncan, Nebraska. Hubby's grandma only used Dorothy Lynch salad dressing. We got a bottle of it today at our local store.
It's been years since I've bought any, and we really enjoyed it tonight on a garden salad of red loose-leaf lettuce, fresh tomato that was perfectly ripe, slices of crisp cucumber, and chopped scallions. With the salad was some very fresh walleye simply pan fried with a coating of milk, then flour, and salt and pepper.
That's a Minnesooooooota supper. Fresh fish, fresh salad, and some Dorothy Lynch. Mr. Bond would be lucky to have such fare after his G&T.

That's my kind of dinner. Fresh walleye and salad? Yum.
I will have to look up Dorothy Lynch dressing.
It's almost like visiting Minnesoooooota. You can picture yourself in Grandma's kitchen, having dinner at the table with her. The walls have paneling with gold and yellow flowers. The recipe box is red and hand painted. On the wall next to the table is a painting of an old barn next to a country dirt road and tree. Grandma painted all these items, and she developed her own folksy style that was very sweet.
