Probably not as uncommon as you would think, especially if you’re trying to refuel an unfamiliar rental car.

Some cars have gas doors on the right, some on the left. Some cars require you to pull a lever to pop open the gas door, some require you to press a button or press down on a lever instead, and different cars place such a lever or button in different places. Some cars have no such lever or button and expect you to press or push on the gas doors to pop them open. Some cars have additional twist-open sort of caps securing the gas receptacles behind their metal gas doors, some do not.

I can imagine a competent driver not used to dealing with rental cars to get stumped for a while when trying to refuel an unfamiliar vehicle.

The giggle-at-the-dumb-person impulse is not a good one. But I suppose we cannot choose what we do or do not find hilarious.

Ah, not clear while watching this on a phone's small screen that the vehicle is a Tesla.

Sure. 😄 You're all for universal adoption of EVs but don't even know how to charge one.

Not so. I also support the adoption of some non-EV vehicles, such as bicycles, for example.

Well, J.E.B. Stuart carried a brace of revolvers on his pommel, so why not?

Now, I have this weird image of Ax on a cruiser, Glocks slung across the bar, riding across town sporting a grey campaign hat with a set of crossed swords.

IIRC, my last bicycle ride was in last December. The bike had no hand-operated breaks. Instead it had this weird mechanism where to peddle slightly backwards to stop the bike. :man-shrugging:

Bro that's a back stop and it's on every kid's bike. Do you mean December 1967?
