Oh, Gawd.
I used to tell that joke at work. I'd have "Chattanooga Choo Choo" cued up on my CD player (remember those?). I'd start the joke, stretching it out as necessary, just so I could deliver the punchline at the moment the singer sang "Pardon me...."
Yeah, I got groans on that one too.

I was unaware of this..uh..artist.
Don't you remember his version of "Puttin' on the Ritz?"
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is better.
Hmm...cant seem to find that one.
Swing band. Check them out on Spotify. All the Youtube stuff is locked up. If you will recall, swing dancing became big again for a while at the beginning of cocktail culture in the late 80's, early 90's. These guys were great.

I'm familiar with them. I enjoyed "Zoot Suit Riot" by the Cherry Poppin' Daddies as well. Setzer rode that wave for a while as well.
I'll check Spotify for that recording - I couldn't find it on Apple Music.

But, as long as we're on the subject, check out Cherry Poppin' Daddies' version of "Come Back To Me." The lead singer's voice is perfect for this type of music.
