You may want to refer to the advice I gave 89th on feeding his kids. A little tough love might be in order. "This is what's for dinner. Take it or leave it. Sadly, she has the wherewithal to leave it.
I was going to fix fish tonight, but MFR worked her ass off today cleaning and making ready for my brother and wife to come so I changed the menu.
Now, bear in mind that none of this was necessary. My SIL is a notoriously bad housekeeper. Great people once you get past politics but staying at their house is a no-go. MFR did not need to do most of this.
