About a year ago I got these:

These look like an upgrade from the ones I have. Don't know if they're as effective as mine.
I love 'em! They work well and reliably; they're small so they fit in purses or kitchen junk drawers or nightstands or glove compartments.
So if you're looking to replace, I recommend these.

With the arrival of flashlights on phones, my need for a standalone flashlight has diminished to almost zero.
However, I also have a "headlight" - it's a headband with an LED flashlight attached.
Indispensable.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
