I came across this video put together by a couple of attorneys. Though there's a lot of stuff that I was aware of, some of it was new to me.
Pretty common knowledge that Lindbergh was an asshole, but I had no idea that he was a four-star asshole. He was abusive to his son and wife.
The evidence used to convict Hauptmann was flimsy at best (as has been documented).
The ladder which Hauptmann supposedly used, was positioned at the child's window, and how did Hauptmann know which room? The ladder, about 18 feet high had rungs that were 27 inches apart. The crime scene was contaminated by the press before the police ever arrived.
