Hey George: JK Simmons.

Yeah I am aware of that show. I watched a couple of episodes and it just got too weird for me. The goofy neighbor and the stranger were non starters for me.
Gave up.
Is it worth revisiting?
Not a fan of “Stranger Things,” btw.

Eh, after episode 3, it's pretty much on its rails, so if you got that far, I'd say scrap it.

I think my favorite JK Simmons role was in "Counterpart." He plays two, totally different, people. Great acting.
And a hearty FUCK YOU! to Amazon for cancelling it after two unresolved seasons.

Heck, he was even great in Ladykillers and Thank You For Smoking, long before he got out of supporting roles. He's just awesome.

Did anybody watch the movie where he's a bad ass drumming coach? I guess he got muscles for the role.

He's in a Prime show called Night Sky.
Definitely not a popcorn kinda show. Not thinky—just not popcorn.
He and Sissy Spacek are an old couple dealing with an annoying-but-well-meaning neighbor, and helping grandma recover from a bad fall about a year prior to the start of the show, and things are not going great.
Also in their shed is a door to something that looks vaguely like a house on another planet. They didn't build it, they just found it awhile back and then built a shed around it.
Also, there's this woman in Argentina who's trying to keep some bad secrets from her daughter.
That's it, that's the show. It's a slow burner but it's fun.

I’ve been meaning to check this show out.
As an aside, is JK Simmons now the ultimate Genre actor? J Jonah Jameson, Jim Gordon, Omni Man, and multiple characters in The Legend of Korra… He has surpassed Bruce Campbell in fanboy awesomeness…
