Regardless of any circumstances, when a cat asks, "AITA?" the answer is always, always, "Yes, because you're a cat."

Cats would never ask, though.
Not because they can't talk but because they're assholes.

My cats are seldom the A. They are sweet. Luna was ALMOST a lap cat today.

Yeah, she's always been a bit standoffish when it came to physical contact. Now that she's been here a year she's apparently decided we are OK and has decided pets and especially deep brushings are very cool.
The only time she EVER got in someone's lap was MFR's sister a month or so ago. We believe that is because she is very allergic to cats. (see AITA).
But yesterday she climbed up to the arm of my chair and wanted pets. VERY unusual for her..she ALMOST got in my lap. Her usual MO is to lay down just out of reach and invite you to pet her.

Cat lovers and cat haters
Never the twain shall meet. Neither spends much time in the other's groove.
Cat haters regard cats' general contrariness and, okay, propensity towards evil and are WTH; to cat lovers those qualities are an endearing and intrinsic part of their attractiveness that dogs, as wonderful as they are in their own right, just can't touch.
Go figure.

I've never seen a surgeon more uncomfortable than the day we were sitting @mark 's kitchen table. I was sitting next to @bachophile and all of a sudden he got a very strange look on his face.
Seems that @mark 's cat decided to rub against his leg.
