Guess who’s a teenager today?

Another thing or two.

When they turn 21, it's not like someone flips the maturity switch. That doesn't happen until 25.

They say that boys are harder when they're young, girls are harder when they're older. Having had 4 teenage girls and a menopausal wife at the same time...well, yea.

What happens is the Brain Monster comes creeping into their rooms at about this age and steals their brains, for what purpose, we do not know. Fear not, the monster will return their brains, just as the good doctor has pointed out, not until sometimes after age 21 or older.

This is correct. You've got about another year before he stops being himself and goes insane. He stays that way until at least 19, if you're lucky.
But fear not, the Good Kid returns. Eventually. You're in for it, but rest assured it will not last.
Happy Birthday, boy-nyc.
