    We moved into our big house in 1984, and lived there until the condo in 2009.

    This was the house next door.

        I like the wraparound porch, but the house isn't my cuppa. Too many angles, too much of a muchness. Too frilly.

                        That one was owned by a (bad) doctor at the hospital where I trained. None of his patients spoke English. It was all Serbian, or something like that. He would admit his patients for "diagnostic testing." Back in those days you could do that.

                        I would walk in and ask the patient why they were there, and they would smile, nod and say, "I vait doktor S...."

                        Frustrating to say the least.
