        Didn't Trump lose the House in 2018? Obama in his first term before then.

        That pattern seems to be the rule rather than the exception.

          Trump lost the house, senate, and presidency in a single term, the first president to do that since Herbert Hoover.

          Biden may well repeat the trick.
