      Indeed. I noticed that.

So, why should anyone believe ANYTHING CNET says?

      "It's dangerous!"

      "It's wonderful!"

I’d never go to CNET for anything. It’s one of those general purpose sites that is always going to be inferior to the specialist places

          I was only joking

Yup. I used to rely on them for reviews of things like printers. Now, it's a wasteland of crap.

Like a publication printing two op-ed pieces that emphasize different aspects of some general topic, I don’t see why a product review site cannot publish two different pieces that emphasize different aspects of the style of product. Heck, Siskel and Ebert disagreed with each other from to time on the same movies in the same show, yet you don’t question why anyone should believe anything Siskel and Ebert had to say on their show.

Product review pieces are basically opinion pieces. Just get over it.

Besides, “isn’t retro,” “safety risk,” “weird,” “kinda wonderful” aren’t mutually exclusive or diametrically opposed.

I wrote a scathing review of an air fryer which is skyrocketing up the "helpful" charts on the product's page on Amazon. Instant is all but going bankrupt over it. No big deal.
