Meh. Started well enough but the daughter was the most unlikeable character I have ever seen in a series.

      The Brad

Plowing through it. I just skip the parts where the daughter has (yet another) trauma/lost love, etc.

        That actress, can ride, though!

Also, it's just worth watching for Sam Elliot's voice and mustache.

Cameos by Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, and Billy Bob Thornton.

          What? ANOTHER spinoff?

          We have 6666, 1883 and now, 1932.

Talk about building an empire, LOL.

Eh, why not? Make hay while the sun shines. So far, the quality of these series has been good.

It's getting to where we watch almost nothing on network TV other than news and a couple Friday night comfort food shows MFR likes.

              Yup. Not bad.

As I've said, "Yellowstone" is fun. It's like "Dallas" but the people aren't as nice. But there's lots of good cowboy pr0n.

1883 is interesting, but drags. Too many irrelevant side-stories. The whole thing could have been told in 5 episodes, rather than 10. It does have an "episodic" rather than "serial"feel to it, which, I guess is OK. However, it ends up, overall, feeling too much like a setup for later stuff. I guess, that's what it really is, after all.

Well, lookie here. The character played by Thornton...

                Jim Courtright

                image.jpeg

Timothy Isaiah Courtright (1848 – February 8, 1887),[2] also known as "Longhair Jim" or "Big Jim" Courtright, was a Tarrant County Deputy Sheriff in Ft. Worth, Texas from 1876-1879. In 1887, he was killed in a shootout with gambler and gunfighter Luke Short. Before his death, people feared Courtright's reputation as a gunman, and he successfully reduced Ft. Worth's murder rate by more than half, while reportedly extracting protection money from town business owners.

I love it when historical fiction brings in real characters - Tombstone did that well.

                      Binged through.

                      Meh.

It was OK. I'm glad that I'm retired and am not limited as to how much time I wasted on this. Should have been 4-5 episodes, and not had all the extraneous bullshit. And as @LuFins-Dad said, Elsa is SO ANNOYING!

                      Glad they killed her off.

I guess it's been renewed for a 2nd season. I suppose I'll waste another Saturday (at 1.25 speed, skipping all the BS dialog) when it comes out.

                      But geez...
