Golf's number three in the world, Lydia Ko, said something out loud about having her period. This apparently breaks some sort of taboo or something.

Marama Davidson, the New Zealand Greens co-leader, said on Twitter that period pain is “definitely not acknowledged enough.”
ESPN journalist Zenia D’cunha said: “We should normalize women in sports talking about periods like this. It’s not an excuse or an embarrassment, it’s just a bodily function.”
Well, some competitors in female athletics don't have that bodily function. I am, of course, talking about post-menopausal women, who will have an unfair advantage.
