Tonight's dinner.

Just wanted to keep it simple, and sometimes, simple is just GREAT.
Strip steak from Costco, sous-vide to 125 degrees.
Mrs. George's filet, which I filleted, in the oven at 225 for about 45 minutes. After all, hockey puck, FTW.
Baked potato in the air fryer on the middle tray, and then asparagus for the last 8 minutes on the bottom tray (after drizzling with garlic-olive oil, salt and pepper).
Sear the steaks in canola oil with some butter and a couple of cloves of garlic, basting all the time. Should have seared the edges, but, oh, well.
Finely chopped green onions for the spuds. Butter for me, sour cream for the Mrs.
Just great.

We “ate” out… Poor Finley has been having problems with hay fever and hasn’t been able to get outside to play. To top it off, he basically spent 5 hours of his day trapped in his car seat… He was bubbling over with energy so we stopped at a frigging Chuck E Cheese… The kid needed to burn off some energy… But not the greatest place for me who is still in a diet plan. Their salad bar sucks…

Chuck E Cheese
Where the "sausage" on the pizza looks (and tastes) like rabbit droppings.
At least they have (had?) a salad bar.

Yeah… but they do sell beer, so…
