He’s right in that the CCP’s “One Road, One Belt” initiative can be seen as a strategic empire building exercise. Where he falls short, and he seems like an Indian nationalist, is that there is no discussion on how India can do better to help/protect these neighbors that are supposedly being taken advantage of by the CCP.

I have heard about this happening in places like Laos and Cambodia and even in African countries.
China provides infrastructure but loan terms can be really difficult for the country to repay, as well as tying the country into using Chinese technology for almost everything. This could turn out to be a big problem long term.
