Very sad.
I don't think he had what it took to be a starter, but he might have had a decent NFL career.
After three years, a player is vested. Wonder what the beneficiary benefits are for his family?...

Being a NFL backup QB is no bad job. By the time you retire you will likely be healthier than the starters.

Geez…That’s insane and a shame. While he wasn’t my favorite pickup, there were some indications that he was at least trying to turn his life around.
