I'm pretty sure it's not just Americans that do this.

I always just go in now.
When dealing with genpop, save your sanity by doing what everyone else is not.

Except I can't remember the last time I went to Starbucks. I order my coffee fresh roasted from a buddy of mine in Ohio. I place the order, he roasts the beans the next day and ships it. Two days later I have the freshest roasted beans I can get short of roasting them myself.

That's rad. I'm mostly into tea now. Loose leaf, first flush sencha made with a tokoname teapot. It's like caffeine mixed with moderate-grade psilocybin, only legal and no real side effects.
But, while driving, sometimes you just need coffee. I find the quality at Starbucks to be "not battery acid," so I usually stop there.

I agree. Always longer to wait in the drive through lane.
(I was surprised the McDonald company in the US gets 70% of sales from drive through. My first guess was that it was much less)

Does your coffee cause mild hallucinations? No?
