You can Google up the original wordle word list, apparently it was downloaded to your browser in its entirety every time you played the game. Careful though if you play it’s an obvious spoiler.
So, yeah, Lynch was removed.
Mar 20 2022 Day 274 LYNCH

There's an app called WORDUS where you can play as many words as you want every day.
I play Wordus, but it has solutions like DUNNO and LESBOS (I doubt they mean the island, but I dunno )
Haven't run across any of those yet.
I deleted the app. The between game ads are too long.

Well this was a wave that I was able to completely avoid!

I was hopelessly addicted for the first two Wordles I solved, but then it started to take over my life to the extent that I had to use the bathroom but held off for five minutes while I started another game. I realized then that I had to take control back of my life, and put the phone down and used the bathroom. I suffered massive withdrawals mid-stream but by the time I was back to my phone, the urgings were all but gone and I am proud to say that I haven't played a game of Wordle in weeks.

I’m an addict. I admit it. Every day I play wordle, wordle español, wordle português, dordle, (2 simultaneous) quordle (4 simultaneous), worldle (geography) and nerdle (arithmetic).
That’s my breakfast entertainment.
Do you mean you haven't gotten into Octordle? Nerdle looks interesting.

Wordle answer changed to avoid fraught word, NY Times says
The New York Times moved swiftly to change Monday’s answer to its daily Wordle puzzle out of fear that it would be seen as some sort of commentary on the debate over abortion rights.
The game, which became a sensation late last year and was bought by The Times in January, gives users six tries to guess a different five-letter word each day.
Yet The Times scrambled when it discovered that Monday’s word, which had been entered into Wordle’s computer program last year, was

I saw that. Stupid. It's a word. Period.
I'd ask are we really that easily triggered that one would draw that nonexistent connection, but I already know the answer.
It was @George-K who took the precaution of putting certain words within the spoiler tags to avoid triggering people.
The NY Times' rationale for removing certain words from their puzzle is to avoid coincidence with the news of the day, one that I agree with because words that are closely tied to the news of the day will be more likely to be more quickly guessed (because more readers are more likely to already have those words in mind from reading the news).

Sounds like the integrity of the puzzle was at stake. Thanks for straightening that out, Ax.
