Got a kid coming your way in May. My daughter just got a summer Production Coordinator job at Wolf Trap.
Any tips on housing there?
Hey! My friend does that! Her housing solution was to live with us in the summers. I can ask though if she has any suggestions.

What kind of hours and when does she start?

Not sure of the work hours. Probably pretty flexible. She'll start early May, going through the first of September or so.
Alright. I’ll send out some feelers with some friends. We have a fair number of friends who have become empty nesters, and I bet we can find one willing to let out a room fairly inexpensively. I also will ask my staff if there’s anything on the GMU housing board… A lot of students living off campus wind up needing summer roommates as their regular roommates bail for the break…
If I can find the time to get some shelving up in my attic and in my laundry room, she’s will be welcome to one of our basement bedrooms…
Of course, then I’ll have to start wearing pajamas…

Typical room rentals around here range from $1000 to $2000 (nuts, ain’t it?)

Yes, Wolf Trap is in the high-rent district.
Maybe Georgetown dorm rooms during the summer. The subway goes near Wolf Trap now.
George Mason is closer and has dorms, but it's not right on the subway.
And the Georgetown area would probably be more interesting than WT for a 20-something, an urban college and professional area. WT is suburban bedrooms.
