"An Update With Regards to the Current Situation"

@LuFins-Dad @Horace @NerdsGenerally
So, it turns out I've been a Russian co-conspirator and didn't know it.
I dunno if you folks are Pathfinder players at all, but I dabbled in the system some years back. Liked it well enough, so I tried the cRPG adaptation, Kingmaker. They followed up with a Kickstarter campaign to make a sequel, Wrath of the Righteous.
It's very good if you like this sort of thing. Pathfinder has its problems, but the adaptation truly gets what the system is designed to do. And the options are pretty damn immersive. It took me an hour just to roll my character.
Anyway, if you were a Kickstarter backer of a high enough level, you got some physical stuff in the mail.
Or so you thought. It turns out that Owlcat Games is based in Moscow.
They released this statement just a month or so ago:
The tragic events of recent days have made us think more about the things that really matter - our families, friends, and colleagues, their health and safety.
We've decided to stop posting content on our social media, as it is simply not appropriate given the current situation. However, we will continue working. This is the little that we can do now - to fully honor the commitments we've made to our gaming community.
Our plans for the 1.2 patch and the first DLC remain unchanged - both will be released this Thursday, March 3.
As regards the shipping of physical rewards - unfortunately, some things are beyond our control. Currently, our partner UPS has suspended all shipments. We cannot predict how the situation will develop or when everything will be restored, but we will resume shipments as soon as we can.
So... yeah.

That keeps coming up in my Steam recommendations and I nearly pulled the trigger. But with so many 90% positive review games to play instead, I couldn’t. Also I don’t have the patience for story heavy RPGs. I like a good tactical system with satisfying and balanced progression. Anyway sorry to hear of the issues with the Kickstarter rewards. Now Putin has gone too far.
My favorite games of recent memory have been Jupiter Hell and Trials of Fire. Trials of Fire especially I thought was an exceptionally designed game.

Everyone's still talking about Trials of Fire. Were it not for Baldur's Gate III I'd be very interested.

I just don’t have time to get into games right now.

How about Elden Ring? I might have to upgrade my PC for that one. Never got into a Souls game but maybe I’d like Elden Ring even more because of that.
I tried Bloodborne on the PS4. It was freaking hard. I gave up eventually.
If you're lacking in patience, I wouldn't do it, although I must admit I've been tempted by Elden Ring.
