    My dad was a nuclear research scientist in the UK in the 60's through to the 80's, and these places look quite a bit like where he worked.

    I was only joking

        It looks like where Homer Simpson works.

          Very Cool. Thanks. And if you haven’t seen Chernobyl On HBO you’ve missed one of the best shows I’ve seen on TV in a decade, maybe all time.

              @xenon Great pictures! Very neat.

              A few years ago, I was part of a delegation that took a cross straits tour to China and we visited a oil refinery.

              One funny thing I remember was that in the control room, in front of the control board, there were benches that were nailed down and slightly sloped forward. There were no moveable chairs in the control room. I guess they did not want the operators sleeping during shifts. LOL

                Chernobyl would not have happened if they had a user interface where they could swipe left to turn the reactor off.

                  Can someone explain the rationale behind the hats?

                  The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

                      The pic of the Chinese bike graveyard reminds me of Henry Ford's famous saying about the Model T: You can have any color you want, as long as it's black.
