Ohio house and senate have passed it. Waiting for governor's signature.
I don't like that it removes the requirement for a certain amount of training. The great thing about training for people who have not been around firearms much is it makes them think. You need to think very deeply about whether or not you could pull the trigger in a tight situation without hesitation. It's a hell of a thing to shoot someone and if your answer is no or you are not sure, you should not be carrying. You'll end up killed with your own weapon.
